Alissa Barbosa founded Heart & Sola Canada in 2020 after researching wedding vendors for her upcoming wedding.
Shocked by the prices of fresh flowers and the cost of preserving her bridal bouqet, she looked into affordable alternatives
and found sola wood flowers. Although super popular in the USA, sola wood flowers were nearly non-existent in Canada...
and so Heart & Sola Canada was born. We are actually one of the first sola wood flower florists in Canada!
Alissa is currently enrolled in the WPIC (Wedding Planners Institute of Canada) certification course
and is currently offering discounted rates until certified.

Bridal Bouquet
I love this bouquet, although simple and classic, the bride was able to make it her own by adding tartan paper flowers and a tartan ribbon.
Photo Shoot
I really enjoyed teaming up with other wedding vendors to do a stylized shoot. I was able to create something completely unique and I had creative control (which is not usually the case!)
Succulent Bride
It was one of my very first wedding orders. I was beyond nervous but excited at the same time. This photo just reminds me of when I first started doing weddings and where I am today.
